Mental Health & Vitality at Work
We were delighted to have two expert speakers to talk on the subject of mental health and vitality in the workplace in the Clayton Hotel Burlington Rd on 8 March.
Donal Scanlan is manager of Mental Health First Aid Ireland. MHFA is seen internationally as the equivalent to physical first aid. Having started initially in Australia, it is now used in 22 countries. A psychiatric nurse and mental health advocate, Donal spoke about a business case for investing in mental health; introduce Mental Health First Aid, what it is, and its use in a business environment as a means to underpin a real focus on mental health in a workplace.
Brendan Foley is Managing Director and Founder of Seachange Now, a leading provider of high-end transformational corporate and sporting programmes. His mission is to inspire, educate and guide people, teams and organisations towards their highest potential. Brendan's talk was called ‘Creating True Vitality in the Workplace’ and provided practical strategies, techniques and tools to create vitality in teams and drive successful action and productivity.
