Limerick - “Ireland’s Second City”
The MBAAI Mid West chapter was delighted to host an audience with John Moran, CEO of RHH international and former Head of Ireland’s Department of Finance. John’s presentation offered unique insight and vision into ‘Limerick - Ireland’s Second City’, discussing how the Mid-West can reach its full potential.
The event took place in the Narrative 4 in Limerick's O’Connell St.
John Moran is an experienced CEO, board member and international banker and former aviation and banking lawyer and tax specialist who, during four years of public sector service is recognised, while serving as Head of Ireland's Department of Finance, to have played a pivotal role in Ireland's post crisis economic recovery, the restructuring of the Irish banking sector, and to have been a key influencer in Europe's move towards greater non-bank and capital markets funding sources.
John has vast experience of management, negotiation and strategic planning and a highly sought-after speaker and thought leader in a number of policy areas. He has spoken publicly and written a number of critically received opinion pieces outlining his vision for Limerick within the wider context of a more balanced regional development policy for Ireland.
John's talk was followed by a #liveablelimerick event, also in Narrative 4, as part of the Limerick Spring Festival of Politics and Ideas. The MBAAI group was invited to remain for this one-hour event which involved several speakers outlining the ideas and motivations for the #liveablelimerick campaign in a pecha kucha style format.
