HBR event: Build An “A Team”
The Association was delighted to partner with Harvard Business Review in bringing author Whitney Johnson to Dublin for a breakfast event hosted by Deloitte.
Recognised as one of the 50 leading business thinkers in the world (Thinkers50), Whitney is an expert on disruptive innovation and personal disruption. She developed her proprietary framework and diagnostics after having cofounded the Disruptive Innovation Fund with Harvard Business School’s Clayton Christensen. This framework is complemented by a deep understanding of how executives create and destroy value, having spent nearly a decade as an Institutional Investor ranked equity analyst on Wall Street.
Whitney is a coach for Harvard Business School's Executive Education program and a frequent contributor to the Harvard Business Review. In her latest book, Build an A-Team: Play to Their Strengths and Lead Them Up the Learning Curve, Whitney explains how to design jobs to maximize learning and engagement, and how to implement a seven-step process for advancing up the learning curve. The result is a team that learns how to thrive, no matter what the industry throws at them.
Whitney captivated the sell-out audience with a highly engaging and stimulating presentation.
Frank Dillon, editor of Decision magazine and Irish Times contributor, MC-ed the event, which included a post-presentation interview and audience Q&A session.
Our thanks to Deloitte for hosting this event.
