Harvard Business Review speaker series: Reorganisation
Few words in business inspire more dread than ‘company restructure’. No other management practice consumes more time and attention or creates more fear and anxiety at work.
As part of its ongoing HBR speaker series, the MBA Association of Ireland welcomed Stephen Heidari-Robinson, co-author of REORG: How to Get it Right, to Dublin this month. The event, at the RDS Members Club, was in conjunction with Decision magazine and sponsored by Pathfinder, specialist change consultants.
A former leader of McKinsey’s Organization Practice, Stephen presented a practical guide for CEOs, senior executives and project managers in both small businesses and large corporations. He stripped out the management jargon to provide a clear and logical process for successfully planning and implementing a reorg.
Stephen has advised on dozens of reorganisations across the globe and was adviser on energy and environment to former UK Prime Minister David Cameron. He is a Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Martin School, Oxford University.
