Data protection: are you prepared for what’s coming?
When it comes into force next May, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) threatens to dramatically affect how we do business, and specifically how we communicate with our customers. What it will mean for you, and what you need to be doing about it, was the subject of an expert discussion next month hosted by change management consultants Pathfinder.
Experts Chris Bollard from Matheson solicitors and Andrew Gadd from software provider IDE-International provided an overview of what GDPR will mean and steps companies can take to manage its impact.
A partner in Matheson’s Technology and Innovation Group, Chris is well versed in presenting to a range of audiences on GDPR. With many years’ experience running large programmes of transformation across many industries, Practice Director Andrew has spent the last year understanding and working with organisations who are dealing with the practical challenges of change that GDPR presents.
In addition, a number of organisations shared their own perspectives and challenges from the floor.
The sold-out event took place in the new Pathfinder offices in Ferry House, Mount Street Lower, Dublin 2.
The Association would like to thank Pathfinder for its generous support of this event.
