Craft beer and the business of brewing
Craft beer has enjoyed phenomenal success in Ireland in recent years, leading many to try their hand at it commercially. Among them is Andrew Bourke, a graduate of the Smurfit MBA programme and co-founder of Wood Key Brewing, who recently agreed to host the Association at a beer-tasting evening, at which he recounted his own story and shared his insights into what lies ahead for the craft brewing sector.
Andrew shared his experiences in starting the business, Wood Key Brewing's future expansion strategy and how the MBA has helped him to adapt and apply his knowledge.
This event took place in the 57 The Headline bar on Clanbrassil Street, a well-known hub for craft beer, and the beer samples were more than generous!
Look out for cans of Andrew's produce under the Hunted Deer, Ravens and Pilgrum labels.
