CPD Policy announcement
The MBA Association of Ireland recognises the importance of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in maintaining and raising members’ professional standards. In the coming weeks the Association will be launching a new CPD Policy.
The purpose of the CPD Policy is to demonstrate that our members are committed to both the maintenance and enhancement of their competences and achieving standards of excellence.
Acknowledging that multiple primary disciplines require up to 35 hours of CPD per year, we are actively categorising our events under relevant CPD categories for members to easily record, to reach their required number of hours. Going forward each event will be posted with the relevant CPD categories tagged.
CPD comes in many forms and goes beyond just paid, training courses. As part of the CPD Policy launch, the Association will publish a guide on ‘What counts as CPD?’ as a quick reminder of the different activities you can count as CPD. We will also host a ‘My CPD’ event which will launch our CPD Policy.
In the future, the MBA Association of Ireland will be offering CPD credits for association events that can be of benefit to other professional bodies.
