Brexit: a logistics perspective
With D-Day less than 12 months off, most businesses are still in the dark as to the likely impact 'on the ground' of Brexit. No industry is more alert to this uncertainty than the logistics one, which in many cases will be first to face the real-life obstacles to trade which Brexit presents. We were thus delighted to welcome Declan Sinnott, Managing Director of Rhenus Logistics Ireland, to share his practical, first-hand insights on how Brexit is likely to unfold, and how his industry and those it serves are preparing for it.
Rhenus Logistics Ltd is a global leader in the supply of forwarding and logistics services. Declan has worked in the industry for over 25 years and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree in Supply Chain Management. In the past Declan has been the Global Account Manager for a number of multinational companies, across a number of sectors, focusing on supply chain optimisation, re-engineering and developing integrated logistics solutions.
We also heard from Bassey Duke, a member of the MBAAI Eastern Chapter and founder of Pruune Consulting Ltd, which works with SMEs to develop their logistics, procurement and supply chain competence.
