Trinity College Dublin
The Trinity MBA Programme is Ireland’s premier MBA programme and is the highest ranked MBA in Ireland (under employer and peer driven survey indexes such as Eduniversal and QS). As the anchor programme of Ireland’s top ranked Business School and top ranked University, the Trinity MBA provides a professional and leadership development focused approach to strategic management in large corporate environments, start-ups and SME’s and also in organisations such as NGO’s and non-for-profits. This personalised approach is achieved by our policy of recruiting a small class from a diverse range of backgrounds and delivering Ireland’s only project based MBA programme where class room learning is facilitated by “live projects” with partner organisations. This hands-on approach is facilitated by a strong emphasis on collaborative leadership and personal development including executive coaching, providing candidates with a holistic experience and a 360* degree view of strategic management.
The University of Dublin
Founded in 1592, Trinity College Dublin is Ireland's oldest and most prestigious university. Within its historic buildings, ancient traditions and endearing folklore coexist with award-winning methods of modern education and innovative scientific research.
History of the Trinity MBA
Fifty years ago the finishing touches were being made to the design of the Trinity MBA programme, in prepration for the first intake in October 1964. When the first class of ten students graduated in 1965, it was something of a media event; The Irish Times reported that the degree programme represented the outcome of ten years research bringing business and university together. The Daily Telegraph reported that these were the first graduates of their kind to emerge in the British Isles. In the first 20 years, the MBA programme typically enrolled about 15 students annually. Today the annual intake remains intimate by MBA standards, with a maximum of 40 students selected each year for both the 12 month full-time programme and the 2 year part-time programme. This contrasts sharply with the large "assembly line" cohorts enrolled in other business schools, and ensures that everyone participates and engages fully. Our ethos of getting to know our students individually remains. We believe our MBA programme to be a tryly life changing experience.
