Event at Pathfinder: Blockchain 101
How Blockchain is changing the way we do business
The Association is delighted to again partner with management consultants Pathfinder for an evening event devoted to the very topical subject of Blockchain.
Expert speaker Derek Counihan will provide an introduction to Blockchain as a disruptor technology, covering various customer models and organisational capability requirements.
A business and technology innovator since he first started work at the age of 15 with Jerry Kennelly’s Stockbyte, which was sold in 2006 to Getty Images for $135m, Derek purchased his first business aged 22. At 25, he started his first technology company which enabled media organisations and brands such as Bacardi, One Stop and Qatar Airways to monetise digital audiences. Acknowledged as one of Ireland's ‘Top Thirty Under Thirty’ entrepreneurs in 2013, and one of four regional winners of Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur in 2016, Derek recognised early the importance of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency to next-generation business models.
The event takes place in Pathfinder's offices in Ferry House, 48 Mount Street Lower, Dublin 2 from 6.30pm on Thursday, 4 April 2019 and is free to members, who may bring a guest.
CPD Credits for this event: 1 hour (Business Knowledge: Use a combination of general and specialist business knowledge and understanding to optimise the application of existing and emerging technology)
