Event with Harvard Business Review: “Build an A-Team” with Whitney Johnson
How to create a high-performing team that strives for greatness, even in the face of uncertainty?
The Association is delighted to partner with Harvard Business Review in bringing author Whitney Johnson to Dublin for a breakfast event next month hosted by Deloitte.
Recognised as one of the 50 leading business thinkers in the world (Thinkers50), Whitney is an expert on disruptive innovation and personal disruption. She developed her proprietary framework and diagnostics after having cofounded the Disruptive Innovation Fund with Harvard Business School’s Clayton Christensen. This framework is complemented by a deep understanding of how executives create and destroy value, having spent nearly a decade as an Institutional Investor ranked equity analyst on Wall Street.
Whitney is a coach for Harvard Business School's Executive Education program and a frequent contributor to the Harvard Business Review. In her latest book, Build an A-Team: Play to Their Strengths and Lead Them Up the Learning Curve, Whitney explains how to design jobs to maximize learning and engagement, and how to implement a seven-step process for advancing up the learning curve. The result is a team that learns how to thrive, no matter what the industry throws at them.
This event, taking place at 7.30 for 8am on Tuesday, 2nd October 2018 in Deloitte's offices in Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2, is free to members.
Frank Dillon, editor of Decision magazine and Irish Times contributor, will MC the event, which will include a post-presentation interview and audience Q&A session. Copies of Whitney's book will be available for purchase and a booksigning will close off the event.
