Cybercrime – is there a time bomb ticking under your business?
Joint event with CIMA on a little understood threat facing us all
The MBA Association of Ireland is delighted to partner with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) to present a discussion on one of the gravest yet least understood topics in all of businesses today – cybercrime.
We are fortunate to have acknowledged experts in John Finan, Detective Sergeant, Garda Cyber Crime Bureau and Tommy Maycock, Director, Cyber Security Department, Grant Thornton to enlighten us on the various aspects of cybercrime and advise on what businesses should be doing to counter the threat it holds.
John will address the specific business risk that cybercrime presents and issues surrounding the securing of admissible digital evidence. Drawing on its impact on the financial world in particular, Tommy’s contribution will cover cyber governance, SWIFT attacks and phishing.
The event, which is free to members, takes place in CIMA Ireland, Block E, Iveagh Court, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 on Thursday, 26 October (6.00 for 6.30pm).
Our thanks to CIMA for organising this event. On the night, members may avail of the opportunity to learn about its Master’s Gateway programme, an accelerated entry route to the CIMA Professional Qualification for individuals who hold an MBA. See more here.
