The National Board are responsible for the overall direction of the MBAAI. They strive to deliver real value and learning for our members through a range of initiatives. In addition they are responsible for the delivery of a number of events throughout the year.
President - Alacoque McMenamin
Alacoque is the owner of People 4 Projects – a trusted project management company that provides experienced project managers and consultants. Alacoque completed her MBA at Fordham University New York and has recently completed a second masters in Corporate Governance with the University of Ulster.
Company Secretary - Patricia Ennis
Patricia is a lecturer in the Dublin Institute of Technology, with expertise in chemical safety and risk management. She manages and coordinates the work-placement programme for DIT undergraduate students of chemistry. Patricia completed her MBA in DIT in 2016.
Finance Director - Position Available
IT Director - Dermot Boyle
Dermot Boyle is the IT Director for the MBA Association of Ireland. In this role he is responsible for the delivery of the IT systems used by the MBAAI and the cost-effective operation of IT services. Dermot is also the chair of the Northern Chapter of the MBA Association. He works as a Client Director for Sopra Steria, a leading European IT Services organisation. Dermot studied for his MBA at the Ulster Business School in the University of Ulster.
Operations Director - Ronan Kearns
Ronan Kearns is the Operations Director of the MBA Association of Ireland and manages all national events including the delivery of the the organisation's 2017 50th anniversary event. Ronan is a Chartered Engineer at Waterman-Moylan, which provides civil, structural and M&E consulting engineering services to the construction industry. He obtained his MBA from Dublin Institute of Technology.
Academic Liaison Director - Catherine Butler Weir
Membership Director - Joanna Quinn
Joanna Quinn is the Membership Director for the MBA Association of Ireland, with responsibility for membership recruitment and retention. She is the Foundation Director for the RDS, a membership-based organisation with a philanthropic ethos. Joanna completed her MBA in 2015 at Trinity College Dublin.
Eastern Chapter Chair - John Kelly
John is an adviser in Financial and Risk Management. He is a practitioner of Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt) and accounting (CIMA). John is currently lecturing in the Institute of Banking and the Dublin Business School in Management Accounting. He completed his MBA at the University of Manchester.
Northern Chapter Chair - Dermot Boyle

Andrew Cromie is a Geneticist at Irish Cattle Breeding Federation. He is currently responsible for running the Southern Chapter.
South Eastern Chapter Chair - Mark Rodgers
Mark Rogers is head of Supply Chain at Danone Nutricia Mark, a chartered accountant, studied for his MBA in Waterford Institute of Technology.
Western Chapter Chair - Maureen Curtin
Maureen Curtin manages events in this region.
