Private companies or public organisations can collaborate with UCD on this programme by either
a) Employing a UCD post graduate student
or
b) Recommending a suitable candidate currently in your organisation to remain with you and carry out a Masters or PhD under the guidance of UCD
What is this programme?
This programme offers candidates the opportunity to complete a Research Masters or PhD whilst employed by a private company or public organisation based in the Republic of Ireland. The programme is open to all sectors and research disciplines and the closing date is the 25th of September.
How it works?
Successful candidates will be registered as a postgraduate student in UCD but will be employed by you for the duration of the award.
The IRC will pay a maximum of €24,000 per annum per postgraduate student. You, the employer, will receive two thirds of this amount towards the salary of the student researcher and one third will go to the University to pay fees and any additional costs encountered by the researcher. You must pay the researcher a minimum salary of €24,000 or your graduate entry salary, whichever is higher.
